Octavia Frazier-Porter, M.S.

Octavia Frazier-Porter is a rising fourth-year doctoral student in the Psy.D. program of Counseling Psychology at Felician University. Serving at CFI as an extern offering psychotherapy and assessments to children and adolescents.

Frazier-Porter has 2 years of clinically supervised experience with children, adolescents, and adults. She has extern at the College of Staten Island where she delivered psychotherapy to a diverse student population. There she co-led an Autism Spectrum Disorder group on social skills development. Her most recent experience at The Quad Preparatory School in NYC provided behavioral treatments to adolescents with ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other comorbid disorders. The behavioral treatments consisted of CBT modalities, play therapy, and interest-focused activities that benefited clients in achieving their goals.

In addition to working with a diverse population, Frazier-Porter’s research focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder and nutritional treatment. She aims to provide clients on the spectrum with differential treatments that can benefit their goals for treatment. Apart from this, the comorbid factors ASD clients face is a direct part therapy. She provided clients with cognitive treatments for anxiety, rigidity, depression, and conduct problems. Therapeutically, she continues to strive to help the youth and adults achieve wellness and well-being.

Frazier-Porter earned her B.A. from Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY, and her Master of Science from Walden University. She currently is applying for her APPIC internship at placements with a children and adolescence focus.
