Nicauris Ubiera, M.A., LPC

Nicauris Ubiera is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), parenting coach, and Clinical Psychology extern. She holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College (2020), a BA in Psychology from Lehman College (2015), and completed a post-baccalaureate program in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University (2023), where she is currently pursuing her Ph.D.

With over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, Nicauris specializes in supporting young people navigating anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, gender identity concerns, and anger management challenges. She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic techniques to create a safe, supportive, and empowering
therapeutic environment. Her trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach fosters insight and emotional resilience in clients of diverse backgrounds.

As a certified parent coach, Nicauris provides strategic, compassionate guidance to help parents build stronger relationships with their children. She is particularly passionate about improving family communication and equipping caregivers with the tools needed to support their children through difficult times.

In her clinical work she offers therapy and psychological assessments for children, adolescents, teens and adults affected by trauma, developmental challenges, and behavioral issues. Nicauris has contributed to research in emotion regulation and childhood maltreatment, presenting at the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and actively collaborating on projects in forensic neuropsychology.

She is a graduate student member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and remains committed to lifelong learning through continuing education, research, and clinical training.

Her work is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that every child and family have the capacity to heal and thrive.
