Mini Sharma, Psy.D.

Dr. Mini Sharma is a postdoctoral fellow at CFI. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a wealth of experience in the counseling field. Dr. Sharma completed her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Saint Elizabeth University and her doctoral internship at Hackensack Meridian Health- Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She has worked with diverse populations with varying needs, including anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, and family conflict. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in inpatient psychiatric, partial hospitalization, IOP, and outpatient settings. She was previously the program director of an Outpatient program in East Orange, providing counseling to children, adults, and families.

Mini has had great success engaging her clients in therapy and tailoring therapy to meet her client’s needs. Mini utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a person centered-Humanistic approach with her clients. She has extensive experience working with women and teen girls, which she finds very rewarding. Mini has a particular interest in working with women on issues concerning women’s health, parenting, and work- life balance as a working parent. She empowers her clients to work through their problems and live a more fulfilling and balanced life. Mini is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
