Dr. Maggie Vaughan, a licensed psychotherapist based in New York City, specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, couples concerns, and family dynamics. She is the founder of Happy Apple®, a psychotherapy center for mood disorders, couples concerns, and trauma.

With degrees from Duke University, the California Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology, and the University of Southern California (USC), Dr. Vaughan incorporates a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, blending existential, attachment-based, and cognitive-behavioral models with integrative medicine. As a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and ongoing student in the realm of metabolic mental health, she brings an awareness of how food and lifestyle influence mood and overall well-being.

Dr. Vaughan’s clinical work extends to youth development, serving as Head of Youth Transformation at tapouts, a pioneering live e-learning program that fosters interpersonal and resilience skills in children.

She is the author of The Depression Relief Journal: Creative Prompts & Mindfulness Practices to Release Negative Emotions and is currently writing a book on parenting in a competitive culture in collaboration with Wiley Publishing.
