Francesca Giannattasio, B.S.
Francesca Giannattasio B.S., is a predoctoral extern under the at The Child and Family Institute (CFI). Fran is a third-year Counseling Psychology doctoral student at Fordham University. Fran previously worked as a clinical extern at a college counseling center in New York City, where she supported a diverse population of young people presenting with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, grief, and trauma. Fran has supported clients navigating major life transitions, financial stressors, and interpersonal concerns. Fran believes in working collaboratively with her clients, utilizing a warm, culturally sensitive, person-centered approach. Fran enjoys working from an integrative theoretical orientation, primarily drawing from Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches. Outside of her clinical work, Fran also serves as a Research Consultant for Born This Way Foundation. In this capacity, she supports the evaluation of the Foundation’s programs and youth-led initiatives to promote youth mental health.
