Ateret Frank Brauner, M.S.
Ateret Frank Brauner is a Clinical Extern at the Child & Family Institute. She earned her BA in Psychology from University of Maryland, College Park in 2020, her MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York in 2021, and her MS in School Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University in 2025. She is expecting to earn her PsyD in School-Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University in 2028.
Ateret specializes in integrative therapy for children with anxiety disorders and OCD. She has provided therapy, run groups, and provided therapeutic consultation for two years as an extern at the Shefa School in Manhattan, NY and at Riding the Wave Center in Nutley, NJ and as a student clinician at the Parnes Clinic in the Bronx, NY. Ateret has also conducted independent research on the lasting impact of child sexual abuse and how OCD symptoms can predict suicidality in children and adolescents. She has contributed to group research projects on social anxiety in children, different ways to empower children to feel confident in their math abilities, novel ways to diagnose concussion in children and adolescents using neuropsychological techniques, and others.
In therapy, Ateret has used evidence-based practices, such as MATCH, in treatment which help children and adults face their fears while also processing their thoughts and feelings surrounding their discomforts. She seeks to provide a caring, warm, and supportive environment in therapy that also pushes individuals to overcome their obstacles and inspires them to achieve what they may believe is impossible.
