Alice Guberman, B.A.

Alice Guberman, B.A., is a 2025-2026 predoctoral extern and WCF volunteer at The Child and Family Insitute. She is a rising third year clinical psychology PhD student at Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated from New York University in 2021 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. Alice recently completed an externship at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Center for Psychological Services where she provided cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to adolescents and conducted psychological testing for children and adults. She is also training at the NYU Langone Child Study Center this year where she will see individual patients with a wide range of diagnoses and difficulties for therapy and conduct therapy groups. Alice enjoys working from an integrative theoretical orientation and focuses on individualizing treatment to meet the unique needs of every patient and family she works with.  In addition to her clinical experience, Alice is a research assistant in the FDU Center for Empathy Research and Training (CERT). She is interested in assessing whether college-based empathy training can improve attitudes about empathy, increase empathetic behaviors, and foster resilience in emerging adults.
