Alaina Hammond, PsyD ABPP
Alaina B. Hammond, Psy.D., ABPP-RP is a Clinical Psychologist at CFI/WCF based in Scarsdale. Dr. Hammond earned her doctoral degree from George Washington University in 2012 and completed a two-year fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at Hospital for Special Care, CT in 2014. Dr. Hammond is board certified in rehabilitation psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and certified to teach mindfulness based on the MBSR program taught at the UMass Medical School.
Dr. Hammond has been practicing over 11 years, primarily with adults who are adjusting to medical illness, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, pain and/or coping with stress regarding health behaviors. Her style blends cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Hammond’s research interests focus on caregiver stress and presented on effective caregiver interventions at the Brain Injury Alliance of NY 2022 annual convention. Dr. Hammond is a member of the American Psychological Association Division 22 (Rehabilitation) and American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
