Over the past few years, the Weissman Children’s Foundation has provided free and highly subsidized mental healthcare to over 1,500 underserved children and families, all thanks to your support. And in a field that lacks diversity, we’ve helped train the next generation of (over 100) BIPOC doctoral and masters level students to date. Together, along with our community partners, and our corporate sponsors at Microsoft GIVE, Proskauer Pro Bono, Google-for-Nonprofits, and The Child & Family Institute, we are revolutionizing the field, breaking stigma, and creating broad-based access to culturally and scientifically-informed, equitable care.
In 2025 we will focus on creating lasting and sustainable change in our nation’s mental healthcare system with a lofty goal to eradicate mental health stigma and disparities, and create broad-based access to quality care for all, within the next 20 years.
Our model is simple. Everyone gets care. Our goal is to raise $50,000 over the holiday season, to help fund our new I.M.P.A.C.T. Initiative (Innovating Meaningful Partnerships Across Community Therapists), a new pro bono clinicians collective comprising over 50 therapists and clinical supervisors through our partner organization, The Child & Family Institute, and eventually hundreds of practices and practitioners throughout NY State and beyond.

Our collection began in 2021 during the pandemic when our founder, Dr. Adam Weissman (cousin of Oscar-winning actor, Adrien Brody), realized a major pain point for non-profits is securing high-quality gala/auction items, so he partnered up with local charities to donate his own personal collection of Babe Ruth baseballs, Michael Jordan basketballs, Taylor Swift guitars, and more. Three years later, thanks to our growing list of partners and donated merch, IM has grown to include thousands of PSA-grade rookie and vintage cards and autographed, authenticated memorabilia across baseball, football, basketball, hockey, tennis, soccer, music and entertainment legends; and we have already impacted thousands of children’s and families’ lives across sports and music, physical and mental health, justice, community, and the arts.
The items are donated completely free to your charity auction with proceeds split between your charity and the Weissman Children’s Foundation, providing pro bono mental health services to underserved children and families. Dr. Weissman integrates his sports and entertainment network, background in Psychology and Non-Profit Management at Harvard and Penn, and Marketing and Communications at Wharton, to obtain, curate and position your donated items, including one or two featured auction items, based on the unique preferences of your board and donor base.
