Weissman Children’s Foundation

The Weissman Children’s Foundation is a national mental health nonprofit established in 2020 by Dr. Adam S. Weissman, dedicated to creating access, breaking stigma, and reimagining mental health for all. We specialize in compassionate, equitable, evidence-based therapies, with a mission to help all children and family members in need of support through healthy, values-aligned living, global stigma reduction and wellness initiatives, and a national network of highly curated pro bono care.

Our key partners include Harvard and Columbia Universities, Microsoft GIVE, the Westchester County Government, and the county’s 62 after-school programs in underserved communities. Widely recognized for its COVID Mental Health Relief Initiative which helped over 1,500 underserved families since the onset of the pandemic, WCF is the recent recipient of Westchester County’s Healthcare Hero, 40 Under 40, and Public Health Awards, as well as the American Psychological Association’s Distinguished Contributions to Practice Award, one of the field’s highest honors.

In line with our global vision, a portion of proceeds from The Child & Family Institute directly fund the development and initiatives of the Weissman Children’s Foundation and other mission-aligned charities, toward our end goal of accessible, evidence-based care for all. Please join us in re-imagining mental health through innovation, community action, and compassionate, data-driven care.

Help us help others

Post-pandemic, WCF has turned our attention to local and global crises, launching a Westchester Wellness Initiative in partnership with the Westchester County government, offering pro bono services for the county’s uninsured and underinsured, and an Israel & Gaza Crisis Counseling Initiative (CCI) providing free crisis counseling to anyone impacted by the war in Israel and Gaza and other global unrest.

Stay tuned for the launch of “Project Pro Bono” and our IMPACT (Innovating Meaningful Partnerships Across Community Therapists) Initiative, creating a Pro-Bono Clinicians Collective of therapists donating an hour (or more) each week in exchange for free trainings and CE credits through CFI. Project Pro Bono will continue to expand our community and corporate partnerships and engagement, toward a sustainable model and solution for offering high-quality mental healthcare to all people, regardless of circumstance.

Please consider making a small monthly donation to the Weissman Children’s Foundation to help us realize our mission of Reimagining Mental Health for All. Just $25/month gifts one child life-changing care.
