Hailey Stephens, MHC-LP

Hailey Stephens is a New York State Mental Health Counselor with a Limited Permit. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from Bates College in 2023 and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2026.

Hailey brings comprehensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has supported clients across a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, community-based services, mental health clinics, private practice, and telehealth. Throughout her training, she has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

Hailey has experience treating attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorder, school avoidance, familial conflict, grief, and challenges related to self-esteem, behavior, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity.

She integrates evidence-based treatment approaches to meet the individual needs of each client. Her clinical work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, and narrative therapy, tailoring these modalities to align with each client’s developmental level, goals, and lived experiences.

Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Hailey works alongside her clients to build resilience, develop coping skills, and foster lasting growth.

Hailey is a member of the American Counseling Association and has received specialized training in crisis intervention and management. She has contributed to research on adolescent substance use prevention through Tufts University School of Medicine and was recognized by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital with a commendation for providing exceptional patient care.
