Jasmyn Cuate, B.A.
Jasmyn Cuate, a predoctoral extern at the Child and Family Institute, is a rising 2nd-year PsyD student at the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Program at William Paterson University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Montclair State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. She has gained experience in various clinical settings, working at an inpatient behavioral health unit as a Mental Health Technician, and working as a Behavior Assistant, implementing early behavioral intervention plans for children with ASD. Jasmyn’s clinical interests center on delivering evidence-based approaches as well as integrating culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. Additionally, she has received training on transdiagnostic
cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) protocol. Her clinical interests include internalizing disorders, trauma, and mood disorders. She is also dedicated to serving Latinx and BIPOC populations with a particular interest on first generation, immigration work, and delivering bilingual services. She has enjoyed collaborating with young adults and is seeking to continue this work while expanding her experience on working with adolescents and their families. Jasmyn is a student affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey (LMHANJ), and New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA).
