We believe that compassionate, evidence-based therapy should be accessible to all – regardless of background or circumstance. Through wellness initiatives, stigmabusting advocacy, and a curated network of pro bono clinicians, we offer healing rooted in values-aligned living. Our Why
WCF was born from lived experience. Our founder, Dr. Adam Weissman, is a survivor of childhood abuse and neglect. Diagnosed with complex PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety as a young adult, he found healing through therapy – and dedicated his life to making that gift available to others. He went on to become a clinical child and family psychologist, founding The Child & Family Institute and later WCF, with the mission of ensuring that no child or family is denied the care they deserve, regardless of income, race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, or background.
Our Work
Our impact has been honored with awards such as Westchester County’s Healthcare Hero Award, the American Psychological Association’s Distinguished Contributions to Practice Award, and recognition in 40 Under 40.
